very broken build, combat doesent work. more of a proof of concept


an experiment in creating a turn based combat game that draws from italian folklore

each enemy is a reference to a specific statue from the garden of monsters, in Bomarazo

there is only one enemy, and no realy way of defeating it due to a time shortage,

i really wanted to push myself, adn in that pursuit, ultimatley i ended up going far beyonf my abilities, getting stuck and nearly evry step of the way.

that being said, whilst the game is barely holding on techincally , im quite fond of all the art i have produced for it, especially when it comes to the animation, how they beldn2d and 3d elements toegether

another success ishoeexpressive your enemy is, despire being a sclupture, it was challeinging to animate,but fun nontheless

the story focues on a nun trying to kill a the god of silence, that unleased its wrath after humainty completed the tower of babel
aside from the main title, there is no written word in game, as the god as taken all of it, due to this being a turn based combat game, i wanted to challenge myself to see if in could communcate all the necessary information to the player without using words in an otherwise verbose genre


the solution i found was creating symbols, often deliberalty obtuse, to encourage the player to mess around the arcane andunusal combat system
