You really nailed a creepy/cozy vibe and I really liked how you took such a simple control scheme and made a bunch of unique challenges with it! Also the art is incredible!
When I first opened the page of this work, I thought it was a work with strong grotesque elements and some horror elements! But when I played the game, it felt cosy, like there was something warm in the abyss! I especially like that the whole stage has a story and the background is a huge single picture! It was a very good piece of work, nya!
I loved your art. The emotional contrast between the world below and the haven your fellow winged beasts inhabit serves the character's fear of being condemned to forever traverse downwards.
Gameplay feels like it suffered a lot. General locomotion is clunky. I felt like I had little control over the flying ability and kept getting stuck in the ceiling.
The subversion at the end where you return the way you came but with the flying mechanic to change things up was a nice touch.
Small bug found, holding the spacebar too long must be increasing the acceleration or y direction too much, because we were able to teleport through entire sections by holding the space bar long enough.
Encountered a bug where pressing space didn't do anything and I couldn't jump (ca(n)t Jump), I could tell it was doing something because the animation froze but besides from that I have no idea.
I love the art and the characters design! Something that could be improved - when moving towards a wall you can get stuck on it instead of falling which is kinda annoying. but other than that its a nice game
this is very beautiful and i love the gameplay and lvl design and the creatures dialog animations, for me absolute winner and acerola will piss his pants

The art is very beautiful, and the game-play was not frustrating. You are very talented.

Chat, I'm starting to think they can't jump

Ca(n)t Jump Walkthrough
beatifull
A very interesting game!!! Can you export as a downloadable version as it seems it being browser only rn affects the performance heavily!
Yes! Working on a desktop build atm

oh and being unable to jump really fits the "a departure from what is normal, usual, or expected, typically one that is unwelcome" in terms of gaming
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it! I wasn't too sure about keeping the dialogue in but I'm coming around to it, I think it really adds to the game
i have 10 fps but i like it!
